About Alan
PRACTICAL SOLUTIONS.
NOT PARTISAN IDEOLOGY.
I’m a Waldo County native who grew up in a working-class family and put myself through the University of Maine while working full-time. I built a 30-year career in Maine’s forest products and building materials industries, leading teams and managing operations across the state, including serving as CEO/COO of a company with hundreds of employees. My career has been about solving problems, creating jobs, and helping people succeed.
My wife and I live in Searsport, where we’ve built our home. We have three adult daughters, all living and working in Maine. This is home, and I care deeply about the future of our communities.
I’m running for State Representative to bring a practical, common-sense approach back to Augusta—focused on supporting seniors, improving healthcare access, cutting wasteful spending, and standing up for small businesses and working families.
In Augusta, I’ll do what I’ve always done: Get to work and get the job done.
What Matters Most
Cutting Wasteful Spending & Providing Tax Relief
I believe we need to eliminate wasteful government spending and find responsible ways to deliver tax relief for working Mainers.
Supporting Small Businesses & Jobs
As someone who has spent a career creating jobs and managing businesses, I will advocate for small businesses and the workers who depend on them.
Supporting Seniors
I will support policies that protect and strengthen the well-being of Maine’s senior citizens and ensure they have the resources they need to live with dignity.
Healthcare Access & Quality
I will focus on improving access to affordable, high-quality healthcare, especially in rural areas where services can be harder to reach.
Working Waterfronts & Heritage Industries
I will work to strengthen Maine’s working waterfronts and protect the industries that are central to our economy and way of life.
Schools & Infrastructure
I support efforts to improve our schools and invest in roads and infrastructure that keep our communities connected and strong.
I’m a Clean Elections Candidate
What does that mean? Maine’s clean election program allows me to focus entirely on listening to and working for you. As a Clean Elections candidate I can only raise funds by getting $5 contributions to the Maine Clean Elections Fund from people right here in our district. I’m not taking mystery money from outside our district with who knows what strings attached.
Please make a $5 contribution to support our district’s fight to be heard in Augusta.
